This mandatory process will bolster communication throughout and across units, ensuring we continue our progress as One Eastern. All successful organizations have effective employee performance management; additionally, the University is required to have an effective tool for performance management for accreditation purposes.

Process Overview

Performance Management phases

The process is in two phases. During phase 1, employees complete an Employee Awareness Profile to establish their understanding of performance expectations within the context of EKU's Strategic Plan. This phase allows employees to tell their story in the context of the strategic plan and offers supervisors guidance in establishing performance goals for the employee. Phase 2 of the process is the Performance Management component of the process, in which performance goals are officially established and the employee's performance is reviewed.
